Easybreath surface snorkelling mask - turquoise
Take care with the sizing - we accidentally bought a large instead of s/m and this is too long for my husbands face. The actual solid parts are the same size but the internal silicon fittings are different on the different sizes - less silicon in the large one accommodates a longer face. Sadly there are supply problems again and we have been unable to get a blue s/m so he is currently swimming around with a pink one, a bit girly but nonetheless preferable to the two piece traditional snorkel and mask systems - yes, they are that good. The main difference is I can see and I can breathe, both useful when snorkelling. They don't mist up. No water gets inside generally. No jaw ache from gripping a snorkel in the mouth. At first when you put the mask on on land it feels claustrophobic, so you need to deliberately slow your breathing, relax and get in the water as soon as you can. There it feels comfortable, protective and more natural. You can actually choose to breathe through nose or mouth, it doesn't matter, so when I am swimming fast I may breathe by mouth, the snorkel is wide enough to allow a good air flow so never feel short of breath. The snorkel is easily visible so we are safer in open water. The reason it doesn't get five stars is that They are not that robust - one of ours acquired a small scratch on the mask from a branch in the water and also one valve fell out when cleaning it. The snorkel part can come off quite easily. But I would buy it again for sure, you just have to look after them carefully.
I have pushed the snorkel and fixed it as good as I could but it came out several times. Last time I lost it in the water and now I can't find a replacement as it shows out of stock always on your page. Why is the snorkel so badly fixed and when can I get a replacement?
Thanks for your message. The snorkel usually fits very snugly into the mask to prevent this type of issue. There should be a rubber washer that seals watertight and also helps keep the snorkel in place, do you have this with your mask?
